Mug Press Imaging Instructions

Press Temperature: 360˚F for 120 seconds (2:00) Light Pressure, hot peel

  1. Tape imaged sublimation paper onto your glass can. Place image toward the glass can.
  2. Set the mug press at 360˚F for 120 seconds. If your press has an idle and press temperature setting, adjust the time accordingly.
  3. Place the glass can into your mug press. Ensure the mug press has reached the temperature.
  4. Close Mug Press.
  5. a) Mug presses with idle temperature will start raising the temperature until the press temperature is reached. Then it will start counting down.
    b) Mug presses without an idle temperature will start counting down immediately. Note: It is normal to see the temperature lower when you close the press. This has been accounted for.
  6. Once pressing is done, immediately peel off the sublimation paper. Use gloves or a heat-resistant cloth to handle the hot mug.
  7. Allow the sublimated item to cool naturally on a table. Avoid submerging it in water during this cooling phase.
Convection Oven Instructions

Oven Temperature: 360˚F | Press Time: 14 minutes
hot peel

  1. Remove the glass mug’s bamboo lid prior to placing in the oven.

  4. Tape the imaged sublimation paper onto your glass mug.  Image facing the glass.
  5. Place shrink wrap (W 4.92” x H 7.48”) around glass mug. Use a dryer/ heat gun to heat the shrink wrap which will tighten the shrink wrap around the glass mug.
  6. Place a glass mug in a convection oven.
Ensure that it is not touching another object in the oven.
  7. Once the timer counts to zero, open the convection oven, and take the glass out.
Use gloves or a heat-resistant cloth to handle the hot glass.
  8. Rip off the shrink wrap, then peel sublimation paper off.
  9. Leave on table to cool.  Do not dunk in water.
Caution:  Glass mug is extremely hot when in the oven, do not handle with bare hands

Note: Temperature and time settings are only a guide/starting point, some convection ovens may require some fine tweaking of the temperature and time. Only use a convection oven, do not use a conventional oven.

These glass cans are very small. They're about the size of a small soda can. The bamboo lids are not secure at all. It just comes off. Nothing on the lid to secure the straw either. I've seen other libby glass lids have soft rubber in the middle to secure the straw so they don't move around. These glasses don't which can cause the glass straw to break since it's constantly touching the bamboo lid. I paid $30 shipping to receive these glasses since their pickup location closes at 4PM. The mugs received were pretty nice. I can't even gift these glasses when I know the lids are not secure and they can spill.
