The PTF-COMBO-100 120V Powder-To-Film system, commonly known as a Powder Shaker, ensures uniform application of adhesive powder to DTF films, enhancing print quality and improving workplace safety. Unlike manual hand-coating methods that expose operators to adhesive dust and require constant attention, this automated system provides even coverage while minimizing waste and freeing up staff to focus on production efficiency.
Designed specifically for DTF printing, this tabletop unit features a durable steel enclosure mounted on a stand, along with a clear, angled polycarbonate door for easy access. It includes two interchangeable cartridges, each capable of holding approximately 3 lbs (1.4 kg) of adhesive powder. A rear-mounted exhaust system collects airborne dust and creates a controlled negative-pressure environment. The film tray, suspended on rubber hangers, is isolated from the system’s intense vibration, which effectively removes excess powder.
How It Works
To operate, a filled cartridge is inserted at the top, while an empty cartridge is placed at the bottom. The operator positions the wet DTF film on the tray, print side up, then securely closes the door. The amount of powder applied is controlled by adjusting the release handle’s duration and frequency.
Once activated, the top cartridge dispenses adhesive powder, ensuring complete and even coverage. After coating, the operator engages the actuator, triggering a timed vibration cycle to shake off any excess powder. When empty, the upper cartridge can be quickly swapped with the lower cartridge, which collects the excess powder, reducing exposure and eliminating waste—allowing for uninterrupted operation until refilling is necessary.
