How to Press (Mug Press)

  1. Mirror your design and print on sublimation paper
  2. Trim and tape the image with heat-resistant tape, leaving 0.5" from the rim
  3. Insert two mugs bottom-to-bottom for stability
  4. Press at 360°F for 180 seconds with light pressure
  5. Hot peel and allow to cool on a flat surface


How to Press (Convection Oven)

  1. Set oven to 370–375°F and preheat
  2. Wrap the image around the mug and secure with heat tape
  3. Cover with copy paper and attach mug wrap
  4. Bake for 5–6 minutes upside down on the middle rack
  5. Remove, peel paper, and cool


Important Notes

  • Not microwave or dishwasher safe
  • Always test with your mug press or oven settings before full production
  • Do not apply excessive pressure – risk of damage

Mug Press Imaging Instructions

Press Temperature: 360˚F for 180 seconds (3:00)
Light Pressure, hot peel
Please download our template for the maximum print area.

  1. Tape the imaged sublimation paper onto your enamel mug. Image facing the mug. Leave a 0.5” margin between the top rim and the top of your image.
  2. Set the mug press at 360˚F for 180 seconds. If your press has an idle and press temperature setting, adjust the time accordingly.
    Ensure the mug press has reached temperature, place the mug into your mug press.
  3. Place another mug with bottoms facing each other to help stabilize.
  4. Close the Mug Press.
  5. Once pressing is done, open the mug press, and take the mug out of the press.
    Use gloves or a heat-resistant cloth to handle the hot mug.
  6. Peel sublimation paper off.
  7. Leave on the table to cool. Do not dunk in water.

Caution: The Enamel Mug is extremely hot when in the heat press, do not handle it with bare hands
Note: Temperature and time settings are only a guide/starting point, some mug presses may require some fine tweaking of the temperature and time
