Pro Tips
Temperature
Always run a test on sample material before the final application. Heat press calibration may vary.
Time
Time may vary depending on the thickness of the material and the brand of the heat press. Adjust gradually.
Pressure
Make sure the pressure is uniform across the entire surfice. Uneven pressure can cause adhesion failures.
Troubleshooting
Faded Colors
Cause: Low temperature, short time, low pressure, or garment moisture.
Fix:Increase temperature by 5–10 °F (2–5 °C) or add 3–5 seconds. Boost pressure slightly. Pre-press for 3–5 seconds. Check with IR thermometer.
Ghosting / Shadowing
Cause:Transfer moved during lift; peeled too early (especially in sublimation).
Fix:Use heat tape; lift in a firm hinge motion. Allow to cool if it’s a cold/warm peel. Always use fresh protective paper.
Scorch Marks
Cause:Excess heat/time; heat-sensitive polyester; Teflon trapping heat.
Fix:Lower temperature by 10–20 °F (5–10 °C) or reduce time 3–5 seconds. Switch to parchment. Test on scrap fabric first.
